IFC Midnight recently acquired North American rights to the Natalie Erika James-directed Australian horror film Relic, which made its World Premiere at the Sundance Film Festival this past January where Meagan Navarro called it a “bone-chilling and devastating depiction of dementia.” You can read her rave review right here.
Today, we’ve learned that IFC Midnight will be releasing Relic on July 10, 2020.
In the film, “When Edna (Robin Nevyn), the elderly and widowed matriarch of the family, goes missing, her daughter Kay (Emily Mortimer) and granddaughter Sam (Bella Heathcote) travel to their remote family home to find her. Soon after her return, they start to discover a sinister presence haunting the house and taking control of Edna.”
