Created by Jordan Morris, the podcast Bubble was launched back in 2018 and centered on a group of monster-killers, and the 10-episode series is now getting a feature adaptation.
The adult animated film, Variety reports today, hails from Sony Pictures Animation and Point Grey Pictures producers Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, along with Matt Tolmach.
Jordan Morris will be adapting the screenplay.
“The 10-episode scripted comedy series hails from Maximum Fun. It centered around an unlikely group of monster killers, brought together by an Uber-like app called Huntr, that struggle to make ends meet and find love in a nightmarish version of the gig economy.”
Variety also notes that Kyle Hunter, Ariel Shaffir, James Weaver and David Manpearl are attached as Executive Producers. Maximum Fun and Jordan Morris are attached as co-EPs.
