After a nearly two-year delay, the Josh Boone-directed The New Mutants was finally getting a theatrical release on April 3rd before being pulled due to the ongoing pandemic.

As we wait for a new theatrical date or a surprise release on Disney+ or Hulu (please, please, please), 20th Century Studios continues to tease the X-Men spinoff that introduces five young mutants who are just discovering their abilities while held in a secret facility against their will.

The mutants include Anya Taylor-Joy as Illyana Rasputin, also known as Magik; Charlie Heaton as Sam Guthrie, a.k.a. Cannonball; Maisie Williams as Rahne Sinclair, a.k.a. Wolfsbane; Henry Zaga as Roberto da Costa a.k.a Sunspot, a mutant with the ability to absorb and channel solar power; and Blu Hunt as Danielle Moonstar, the Native American telepath also known as “Mirage”.

Pulled from an April issue of Cinefex Magazine come exciting new images from the film, one being an eye-popping stunner of a shot in which the iconic Demon Bear appears to be doing battle with Magik, and another highlighting the terrifying Smiley Men…
