Rob Zombie’s Laurie Strode, Scout Taylor-Compton will next be seen in the young adult supernatural horror movie Star Light, which has just been acquired by the company 1091.
Deadline reports that 1091 will release Star Light on digital and on-demand August 4.
The cast also includes Cameron Johnson (Light as a Feather), Rahart Adams (Pacific Rim: Uprising), Liana Ramirez (Power Rangers Beast Morphers), and Tiffany Shepis (12 Monkeys).
“The plot involves a kind-hearted teenager, Dylan (Johnson), who crashes into a beautiful young woman (Taylor-Compton) while skateboarding. She turns out to be a world famous popstar, who is on the run from her handlers. While he and his group of friends try to help this mysterious woman, unexplained events begin to occur within the home. When Bebe’s threatening handler, Anton, shows up demanding her return, the teenagers’ refusal makes him unleash a barrage of dire and otherworldly consequences that turns a fun graduation party into a night of living hell.”
Mitchell Altieri (The Night Watchmen) and Lee Cummings directed the film, which features a script that was written by Altieri, Jamal M. Jennings, and Adam Weiss.
