Keanu Reeves, Alex Winter and William Sadler are all back this summer in brand new film Bill & Ted Face the Music, and Orion has made today an excellent day with the trailer reveal.

The trailer catches us back up with Bill and Ted nearly 30 years after we last hung out with them, and in the film they’re tasked with finally fulfilling their destiny and writing an epic song that’ll reunite the world. Naturally, they end up taking a trip to the future, and this time around we’ll also be meeting their daughters – Ready or Not‘s Samara Weaving plays Thea Preston, with Brigette Lundy-Paine as Billie Logan. Their plan? Steal the song from an alternate version of themselves. Which may be, as the trailer indicates, far easier said than done…

The future awaits. Find the most excellent trailer below.

Here’s the official synopsis:

The stakes are higher than ever for the time-traveling exploits of William “Bill” S. Preston Esq. and Theodore “Ted” Logan. Yet to fulfill their rock and roll destiny, the now middle-aged best friends set out on a new adventure when a visitor from the future warns them that only their song can save life as we know it. Along the way, they will be helped by their daughters, a new batch of historical figures, and a few music legends – to seek the song that will set their world right and bring harmony in the universe.

The cast for the upcoming third film also includes Jillian Bell, Jayma Mays, Anthony Carrigan, Kristen Schaal, Erinn Hayes, Holland Taylor, Amy Stoch and Kid Cudi.

Dean Parisot (Galaxy Quest) directed the film from a screenplay by original Bill & Ted writers Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon. Bill & Ted will return on August 21, 2020.

Writer in the horror community since 2008. Editor in Chief of Bloody Disgusting. Owns Eli Roth's prop corpse from Piranha 3D. Has two awesome cats. Still plays with toys.
