‘Train to Busan Presents: Peninsula’ Gets a Wild and Crazy New Trailer in 8K! [Video]

Announced as an Official Selection of Cannes, here’s the full trailer for Yeon Sang-ho‘s Train to Busan Presents: Peninsula, which will be released presumably later this year through Well Go USA. The new footage is presented with English-subtitles and is in glorious 8K!

In the film, “Four years after South Korea’s total decimation in Train to Busan, Jung-seok (Gang Dong-won), a soldier who previously escaped the diseased wasteland, relives the horror when assigned to a covert operation with two simple objectives: retrieve and survive. When his team unexpectedly stumbles upon survivors, their lives will depend on whether the best—or worst—of human nature prevails in the direst of circumstances.”

Actress Lee Jung-hyun plays one of the survivors, alongside child actress Lee Re – whom Yeon told ScreenDaily he thinks will become “more [popular] than Ma Dong-seok [aka Don Lee] in Train to Busan”.

The new trailer is just as wild and crazy as the teaser, only it looks to mix George A. Romero’s Land of the Dead with The Fast and the Furious films.
