Edgar Wright Directing Ghost Story ‘Stage 13’ for Amblin

Published

Edgar Wright has set up yet another project while we wait for his horror movie Last Night in Soho, with Deadline reporting that Wright will direct Stage 13 for Amblin Partners.

Simon Rich (“Saturday Night Live”) is writing the film, an adaptation of his short story. The story was first published in Rich’s collection Hits and Misses, released in 2018.

It’s not a horror story, mind you, but one dealing with a ghost all the same.

“The film follows the ghost of a silent film-era actress that has haunted the titular soundstage of a backlot for decades. After a struggling director meets the ghost, they find an unexpected kinship and team to make their mark on the world.”

Wright is directing as well as producing alongside Rich.

Writer in the horror community since 2008. Editor in Chief of Bloody Disgusting. Owns Eli Roth's prop corpse from Piranha 3D. Has four awesome cats. Still plays with toys.
