Production on ‘Jurassic World: Dominion’ Being Paused for Two Weeks Due to COVID-19

Less than 24 hours after Universal announced that Jurassic World: Dominion is moving from Summer 2021 to June 10, 2022, the production has suffered yet another setback.

Director Colin Trevorrow tweets this afternoon, “Woke up to the news we had a few positive Coronavirus tests on Jurassic World: Dominion. All tested negative shortly after, but due to our safety protocols we’re going to pause for two weeks. Back soon.”

Principal photography originally kicked off back in February on Dominion, with the production put on a forced hiatus one month later. Filming was then able to resume in July.

Here’s hoping everything goes off without a hitch when production again resumes in two weeks. At this point, Universal now has plenty of time to get everything finished by 2022.

The film’s cast includes familiar and new faces such as Sam Neill, Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum, Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Justice Smith, Daniella Pineda, Jake Johnson, Omar Sy, Dichen Lachman, Mamoudou AthieDeWanda Wise and Scott Haze.

Writer in the horror community since 2008. Editor in Chief of Bloody Disgusting. Owns Eli Roth's prop corpse from Piranha 3D. Has four awesome cats. Still plays with toys.
