In the wake of Shudder’s now-streaming Spiral, writers Colin Minihan and John Poliquin are next adapting a short film they made together, turning Selfie into a feature for Netflix.
Deadline reports that Minihan and Poliquin will write Netflix’s feature-length adaptation “that will explore the horrors of body image in the age of social media.”
In the original short, teased below, an insecure teenager deletes her social media accounts and learns that what she put online will come back to haunt her.
The duo wrote the original short, which Poliquin directed.
Minihan and Benjamin Anderson are producing the Netflix film.
