The Trilogy Ends With a Trip to a Hostile Alien Planet in ‘SKYLIN3S’ This December [Trailer]

In the wake of 2010’s Skyline, director Liam O’Donnell took over for the wildly entertaining Beyond Skyline in 2017, and he’s back this year with trilogy-ender Skyline 3 (aka SKYLIN3S).

The third installment was written and directed by O’Donnell, and io9 brings us the word this week that it’s headed to select theaters and VOD on December 18, 2020.

In the third installment, “When a virus threatens to turn the now earth-dwelling friendly alien hybrids against humans, Captain Rose Corley must lead a team of elite mercenaries on a mission to the alien world in order to save what’s left of humanity.”

Yup, this time the humans are taking the fight to the aliens. And much like Beyond Skyline before it, Skyline 3 looks like a wild and crazy good time, squeezing A LOT out of a small budget. If you haven’t seen the previous two movies, you can probably just skip right ahead to Beyond Skyline and start from there. It’s Frank Grillo vs. aliens and it’s a total blast.

Lindsey Morgan, Alexander Siddig, Jonathan Howard, Rhona Mitra, and James Cosmo star.

Writer in the horror community since 2008. Editor in Chief of Bloody Disgusting. Owns Eli Roth's prop corpse from Piranha 3D. Has four awesome cats. Still plays with toys.
