‘Monster Hunter’: Two New International Trailers Give Us First Look at Ron Perlman, the Palico and More!
Paul W.S. Anderson and Sony’s Monster Hunter is set for release here in the States on December 25, and the film will also soon be receiving a theatrical release in China.
On that note, two brand new international trailers have been unleashed this week, and they’re loaded with all kinds of new monster action. Perhaps even more importantly, they give us our first look at Ron Perlman as the Admiral, as well as the film’s take on a Palico!
Both Perlman and the Palico have been kept out of the U.S. marketing so far, and here we have further proof that trailers cut outside the States are just a whole lot cooler. Enjoy.

The movie is, of course, an adaptation of Capcom’s video game series.
Christopher Landon (Happy Death Day, Freaky) is staying busy here in 2024, directing not only the werewolf movie Big Bad but also an upcoming thriller titled Drop.
The project for Blumhouse and Platinum Dunes is being described as a “fast-paced thriller,” and Deadline reports today that Violett Beane (Truth or Dare) has joined the cast.
Newcomer Jacob Robinson has also signed on to star in the mysterious thriller. Previously announced, Meghann Fahy (“White Lotus”) will be leading the cast.
Landon recently teased on Twitter, “This is my love letter to DePalma.”
Jillian Jacobs and Chris Roach wrote the script.
Michael Bay, Jason Blum, Brad Fuller and Cameron Fuller — “who brought the script in to Platinum Dunes” — are producing the upcoming Drop. Sam Lerner is an executive producer.
THR notes, “The film is a Platinum Dunes and Blumhouse production for Universal.”
