Recently played by David Tennant in last year’s ITV drama series “Des,” serial killer Dennis Nilsen will next be the subject of a true crime documentary feature film over at Netflix.
Deadline reports today that the team behind the project includes Michael Harte (Don’t F**k With Cats: Hunting An Internet Killer), who will be making his feature debut as director.
The documentary is based on Nilsen’s autobiography, The History Of A Drowning Boy.
Deadline notes, “Dennis Nilsen killed at least 12 young men and boys between 1978 and 1983 and died in prison in 2018. Alongside the book (The History Of A Drowning Boy), the filmmakers say they will also use Nilsen’s personal archive, as well as interviews with the victims’ family members, survivors, the police and journalists who covered the cases.”
