Actress Hannah Fierman, who memorably played Lily in the “Amateur Night” segment of our horror anthology V/H/S, is next making her feature directing debut with a horror movie.

It’s titled The Events Surrounding a Peeping Tom, Bloody Disgusting has learned, described as a psychological horror film with a cast including Damian Maffei (The Strangers: Prey at Night, Haunt, Wrong Turn), and Felissa Rose (Sleepaway Camp, Victor Crowley).

The Events Surrounding a Peeping Tom is the story of Martin Malone, a lonely voyeur who is caught and arrested following a misstep. As he nears the end of his court-mandated rehabilitation, Martin suspects that someone or something far more sinister is watching him.”

Starring alongside Maffei and Rose are Kate Kiddo (On Location, Time’s Up), Dave Sheridan (Scary Movie, The Devil’s Rejects), Kamarra Cole (Time’s Up), and LC Holt (You’re Next, V/H/S2).

Brian James Fitzpatrick wrote the film, with Ryan James (Cannibal Comedian, Time’s Up) producing. Principal photography, we’re told, will kick off in August 2021.

In the meantime you can check out two early posters below, designed by Marc Schoenbach of Sadist Art Designs (first below) and Jared Connor of Mexican Chocolate (second below).

Filming is underway on The Invisible Man director Leigh Whannell’s Wolf Man for Universal and Blumhouse, which will be howling its way into theaters on January 17, 2025.

Deadline reports that Matilda Firth (Disenchanted) is the latest actor to sign on, joining Christopher Abbott (Poor Things),  Julia Garner (The Royal Hotel), and Sam Jaeger.

The project will mark Whannell’s second monster movie and fourth directing collaboration with Blumhouse Productions (The Invisible Man, Upgrade, Insidious: Chapter 3).

Wolf Man stars Christopher Abbott as a man whose family is being terrorized by a lethal predator.

Writers include Whannell & Corbett Tuck as well as Lauren Schuker Blum & Rebecca Angelo.

Jason Blum is producing the film. Ryan Gosling, Ken Kao, Bea Sequeira, Mel Turner and Whannell are executive producers. Wolf Man is a Blumhouse and Motel Movies production.

In the wake of the failed Dark Universe, Leigh Whannell’s The Invisible Man has been the only real success story for the Universal Monsters brand, which has been struggling with recent box office flops including the comedic Renfield and period horror movie The Last Voyage of the Demeter. Giving him the keys to the castle once more seems like a wise idea, to say the least.
