‘A Quiet Place Part II’ Release Date Bumped Up from September to May

Published

on

Just one week after we learned that Paramount will be bringing A Quiet Place Part II to Paramount+ 45 days after its release in theaters, the film’s theatrical date has changed.

Most recently set for release on September 17, 2021, the John Krasinski-directed sequel to the 2018 hit will now be coming to theaters Memorial Day Weekend, May 28, 2021.

The sequel has been delayed multiple times now due to the ongoing pandemic, originally planned for release on March 20, 2020. A long road to release, to say the very least.

A third installment, meanwhile, is already in the works.

“Following the deadly events at home, the Abbott family (Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, Noah Jupe) must now face the terrors of the outside world as they continue their fight for survival in silence. Forced to venture into the unknown, they quickly realize that the creatures that hunt by sound are not the only threats that lurk beyond the sand path.”

Part II is rated PG-13 for “terror, violence and bloody/disturbing images.”

Writer in the horror community since 2008. Editor in Chief of Bloody Disgusting. Owns Eli Roth's prop corpse from Piranha 3D. Has four awesome cats. Still plays with toys.
