‘Venom: Let There Be Carnage’: Sony Released Four Must-See, Hilarious Clips Featuring the Symbiotes, Including Shriek! [Video]

I forgot how hilarious Tom Hardy was in the first Venom, delivering a batshit insane performance right out of an 80s-style buddy comedy.

With Venom: Let There Be Carnage, Hardy is back as Eddie Brock, who is of course also the alien symbiote known as Venom. Woody Harrelson, who popped up as Cletus Kasady in the first film’s post-credits scene, ultimately becomes Carnage in the film. Michelle Williams is also back as She-Venom, with Naomie Harris being introduced as Shriek, Carnage’s love interest.

Sony shared with Bloody Disgusting four clips from the sequel that are all nothing short of excellent, with three of them being straight-up hysterical.

In the first, Eddie Brock and Venom have a couple’s quarrel; the second sets up the movie, showing Eddie being asked to attempt to extract information from serial killer Cletus Kasady before he’s executed; a third has Cletus antagonizing Eddie with Venom hilariously responding via an inner monologue; lastly, the final clip introduces us to Shriek and teases her abilities.

Truth is, this looks awesome.

Sony Pictures will now release the film exclusively in theaters on October 1st. The studio is putting some huge weight into the release, touting a 3D release alongside the film taking over all IMAX screens.
