Vertical Entertainment Nabs Gothic ‘Room 203’, Which Is Haunted by J-Horror Ghosts [Image]

Bloody Disgusting has a brand new image from Ben Jagger’s (Corbin Nash, The Paddy Lincoln Gang) J-horror-themed Room 203, which Vertical Entertainment will be releasing here in the States in limited theaters and on VOD platforms.

“The film follows two female roommates who are tormented by the vengeful spirits dwelling in their gothic-style, rented apartment, which contains an ornate centerpiece.”

The Room 203 cast features rising talent Francesca Xuereb (Murmur, Forever & Always), Viktoria Vinyarska (“The Real Drakoolvas”, Highway to Havasu) and Eric Wiegand (Hulu’s Outsiders, “Boys Will Be Bastards”).

The English-language horror film is adapted from Nanami Kamon’s Japanese novel published by Kobunsha. The screenplay is by John Poliquin (Shudder’s Spiral), Jagger and Nick Richey (Low Low).

When originally announced by Variety, the apartment is described as decrepit, but amazing American Gothic with a dark history – involving murder, a sinister deity, and a ticking clock.

With fiendish followers invading suburbia, it’s now up to the kids to discover the secret that can lock The Gate forever . . . if it’s not too late.
