The Horror Movies Coming to Netflix in December Include ‘Tremors’ and the ‘Final Destination’ Films

The final month of the year is on the horizon, which means one last batch of new titles for the year are being added to the Netflix streaming service in the coming weeks.

What can you expect on the horror front? Here’s the full rundown.

Available December 1st:

  • The Final Destination
  • Final Destination 3
  • Final Destination 5
  • The Fourth Kind
  • Pet Sematary (1989)
  • Tremors

Available December 3rd:

  • Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous: Season 4

Available December 17th:

  • The Witcher: Season 2

Horror movies *leaving* include The Guest (December 4), It Comes at Night (December 8), Jacob’s Ladder (December 21), Winchester (December 30), The Devil Inside (December 31), Pan’s Labyrinth (December 31), The Strangers (December 31), Underworld (December 31), Underworld: Awakening (December 31), and Underworld: Rise of the Lycans (December 31).

‘Drop’ – Violett Beane Joins the Cast of Christopher Landon’s New Thriller

Christopher Landon (Happy Death Day, Freaky) is staying busy here in 2024, directing not only the werewolf movie Big Bad but also an upcoming thriller titled Drop.

The project for Blumhouse and Platinum Dunes is being described as a “fast-paced thriller,” and Deadline reports today that Violett Beane (Truth or Dare) has joined the cast.

Newcomer Jacob Robinson has also signed on to star in the mysterious thriller. Previously announced, Meghann Fahy (“White Lotus”) will be leading the cast.

Landon recently teased on Twitter, “This is my love letter to DePalma.”

Jillian Jacobs and Chris Roach wrote the script.

Michael Bay, Jason Blum, Brad Fuller and Cameron Fuller — “who brought the script in to Platinum Dunes” — are producing the upcoming Drop. Sam Lerner is an executive producer.

THR notes, “The film is a Platinum Dunes and Blumhouse production for Universal.”
