‘The Exorcism of God’ Trailer – Experience an Exorcism Gone Wrong This March

The latest film to take inspiration from horror classic The Exorcist, Alejandro Hidalgo‘s (The House at the End of Time) The Exorcism of God is on the way from Saban Films, and the official trailer has arrived ahead of the film’s theatrical, On Demand & Digital release March 11. It will then arrive on DVD and Blu-ray April 19.

In this latest tale of an exorcism gone horribly wrong…

Peter Williams, an American priest working in Mexico, is considered a saint by many local parishioners. However, due to a botched exorcism, he carries a dark secret that’s eating him alive until he gets an opportunity to face his own demon one final time.”

The Exorcism of God is directed by Hidalgo from a script by Santiago Fernández Calvete (Sangre Vurdalak) and Hidalgo. Joseph Marcell (“The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air”), María Gabriela de Faría (“Deadly Class”), Will Beinbrink (It Chapter Two, “Dark”), Hector Kotsifakis (“Malverde: El Santo Patrón”), and Irán Castillo (“SOS Me estoy enamorando”) star.

‘Drop’ – Violett Beane Joins the Cast of Christopher Landon’s New Thriller

Christopher Landon (Happy Death Day, Freaky) is staying busy here in 2024, directing not only the werewolf movie Big Bad but also an upcoming thriller titled Drop.

The project for Blumhouse and Platinum Dunes is being described as a “fast-paced thriller,” and Deadline reports today that Violett Beane (Truth or Dare) has joined the cast.

Newcomer Jacob Robinson has also signed on to star in the mysterious thriller. Previously announced, Meghann Fahy (“White Lotus”) will be leading the cast.

Landon recently teased on Twitter, “This is my love letter to DePalma.”

Jillian Jacobs and Chris Roach wrote the script.

Michael Bay, Jason Blum, Brad Fuller and Cameron Fuller — “who brought the script in to Platinum Dunes” — are producing the upcoming Drop. Sam Lerner is an executive producer.

THR notes, “The film is a Platinum Dunes and Blumhouse production for Universal.”
