We’re just one week away from Viking epic The Northman, the new movie from The Witch and The Lighthouse director Robert Eggers, and two new clips from the film have arrived.

Described as “an action-filled epic that follows a young Viking prince on his quest to avenge his father’s murder,” The Northman comes exclusively to theaters on April 22, 2022.

The first clip is titled “I Will Haunt This Farm,” and it features Alexander Skarsgard and Anya Taylor-Joy. The two are formulating some kind of plan, likely in regards to the revenge storyline that takes center stage in The Northman. The second clip comes courtesy of Nerdist, wherein “Fjölnir (Claes Bang) puts a sword to King Aurvandill’s (Ethan Hawke) neck.”

It’s the murder of King Aurvandill that sets the plot into motion…

From acclaimed director Robert Eggers comes The Northman starring Alexander Skarsgard, Anya Taylor-Joy, Nicole Kidman, Claes Bang, Ethan Hawke, Willem Dafoe, and Björk. The film is directed by Robert Eggers, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Icelandic poet and novelist Sjón. Producers are Lars Knudsen, Mark Huffam and New Regency.
