IFC Midnight’s ‘Burial’ Trailer Teases Intense World War II Thriller

Published

on

The latest from genre label IFC Midnight, Burial, looks to be an intense, taut thriller set in World War II based on the brand new trailer.

The period thriller is set for release in select theaters and On Demand on September 2, 2022.

Set toward the end of World War II, Burial “tells the fictional story of a small band of Russian soldiers tasked with delivering the crated remains of Hitler back to Stalin in Russia. En route, the unit is attacked by German ‘Werewolf’ partisans and picked off one-by-one. An intrepid female intelligence officer leads her surviving comrades in a last stand to ensure their cargo doesn’t fall into the hands of those who would hide the truth forever.”

The werewolves, in this instance, refer to the rogue German soldiers that operated behind enemy lines to attack the Allied forces during the war.

Burial was written and directed by Ben Parker (The Chamber).

The film stars Charlotte Vega, Tom Felton, Harriet Walter, Barry Ward, Kristjan Üksküla, Dan Skinner, Bill Milner, Niall Murphy, Tambet Tuisk, David Alexander, Hendrik Toompere, Esther Kuntu, and Sten Karpov.
