‘Scream VI’ Image Puts Ghostface in a Whole New Location
One of this year’s most hotly anticipated horror movies is of course Scream VI, which brings Ghostface back to theaters on March 10, 2023. Only this time around, we’re not heading back to Woodsboro. Instead, Ghostface is slashing into New York City this coming March.
USA Today has shared a new image from Scream VI today and it teases that fresh new location for the franchise. We’re not in Woodsboro anymore, folks. Check it out down below.
In the brand new movie, “The Scream saga continues with the four survivors of the Ghostface killings as they leave Woodsboro behind and start a fresh chapter.”
Radio Silence’s Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett (Scream, Ready or Not), are both back behind the camera for the upcoming Scream movie, which is officially titled Scream VI.
Melissa Barrera (“Sam”), Jasmin Savoy Brown (“Mindy”), Mason Gooding (“Chad”), Jenna Ortega (“Tara”), and Dermot Mulroney are all confirmed for the next installment of Spyglass Media and Paramount Pictures’ franchise, with Samara Weaving (Ready or Not, Mayhem, The Babysitter, “Ash vs Evil Dead”), Tony Revolori (Spider-Man: Homecoming & No Way Home), Jack Champion (Avatar: The Way of Water), Liana Liberato (The Beach House), Devyn Nekoda (“Ghostwriter”), Josh Segarra (“Arrow), and Henry Czerny (Ready or Not) also starring.
Courteney Cox will also be back as franchise heroine Gale Weathers.

The new trailer for epic survival thriller The Dog Stars warns to fear the survivors of the apocalypse.
Jacob Elordi (Frankenstein), Josh Brolin (Weapons), and Margaret Qualley (The Substance) try to maintain their humanity in the intense new trailer for Ridley Scott‘s survivor thriller, releasing in theaters on August 28, 2026.
The film is “set in a world where survival is instinct, but humanity is a choice. Scott tells the story of Hig, a young pilot who, together with a military survivalist, Bangley, has carved out an efficient but isolated homestead in a brutal post-apocalyptic world until a mysterious radio transmission spurs Hig to venture into the unknown in search of the hope and humanity he still believes exists.”
Guy Pearce, Benedict Wong, and Allison Janney also star.
The film is based on Peter Heller’s bestselling novel and written by Mark L. Smith (Overlord, The Revenant) and produced by Ridley Scott, Michael Pruss, Mark L. Smith, and Cliff Roberts.
Check out the new trailer and poster below, which emphasize the thrills in the upcoming survival thriller. But it’s one that’s also filled with hope.
“I think people will be surprised and engaged, actually. I would say, hmm… charmed as well,” Scott says of the film. “Although, there is some violence.”
