Universal has unleashed the brand new Final Trailer for Renfield this morning, a comedic horror movie that’s centered on Dracula’s fly-eating henchmanNicholas Hoult (The Menu) is starring as Renfield, with Nicolas Cage playing Count Dracula. The film arrives in theaters on April 14tickets are on sale now – and the final trailer features a bunch of new Cage footage.

Watch the bloody final trailer for Universal’s Renfield below, which sells the movie a little bit differently than the first trailer. Whereas our first look at the movie only briefly teased Nicolas Cage’s co-starring role as Dracula, this final trailer markets the film heavily around Cage’s blood-sucker – a smart move, even if he’s said to have a relatively limited role in the movie.

Renfield is billed as a “modern-day adventure story that is comedic in tone.”

“In this modern monster tale of Dracula’s loyal servant, Nicholas Hoult stars as Renfield, the tortured aide to history’s most narcissistic boss, Dracula (Oscar® winner Nicolas Cage). Renfield is forced to procure his master’s prey and do his every bidding, no matter how debased. But now, after centuries of servitude, Renfield is ready to see if there’s a life outside the shadow of The Prince of Darkness. If only he can figure out how to end his codependency.”

Universal’s Renfield is based on an original pitch from “The Walking Dead” creator Robert KirkmanChris McKay (The Tomorrow War, LEGO Batman Movie) directed the movie.

The film co-stars Awkwafina (The Farewell, Shang-Chi and the Legend of Ten Rings), Ben Schwartz (Sonic, The Afterparty) and Adrian Martinez (The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, Focus).

Ryan Ridley (“Rick and Morty”) wrote the script for Renfield.

A handful of shark attack horror movies have already been released in the first half of the year, with Under Paris most recently swimming to Netflix. Up next? The Last Breath.

RLJE Films will release The Last Breath in theaters and on VOD July 26.

This one comes courtesy of director Joachim Hedén, who directed the intense underwater thriller Breaking Surface back in 2020. This time he adds hungry sharks to the mix…

“The survival thriller follows five college friends who go scuba diving into a recently uncovered WWII shipwreck in the British Virgin Islands, where they find themselves trapped by great white sharks.”

Here’s the full synopsis: “Finding the long-lost wreck of the warship USS Charlotte has been the lifelong pursuit of Levi (Julian Sands), an aging expat running a tourist dive business in the British Virgin Islands together with recent college dropout Noah (Jack Parr). When the USS Charlotte emerges for the first time in eighty years after a tropical storm, Noah’s friends visiting the island insist for them all to do a once-in-a-lifetime dive on the newly discovered wreck before it’s handed over to the authorities. The dream dive rapidly turns into a nightmare as they become trapped in the darkness of the Charlotte’s interior, thirty meters down and with a dwindling air supply. And then they discover that they are not alone.”

Kim Spearman (As I Am) and Erin Mullen also star.

Nick Saltrese (Prayer Before Dawn) wrote the script for The Last Breath.
