‘The Flash’ – Michael Keaton’s Batman Flies, Kicks Ass, and Gets Nuts in Brand New Second Trailer

As promised, Warner Bros/DC debuted a brand new trailer for this summer’s The Flash during CinemaCon today, and it’s loaded with fresh new footage from the mashup movie.

Worlds collide and the DC Universe breaks wide open in The Flash, which alters the past, present and future of the world DC’s iconic superheroes and supervillains inhabit.

One of those heroes, of course, is Michael Keaton’s Batman/Bruce Wayne, who gets so much spotlight in this latest trailer that it almost feels like a proper Batman Returns sequel.

You want to get nuts? Let’s get nuts. Watch the new trailer for The Flash below.

Andy Muschietti (Mama, IT, IT: Chapter Two) directed The Flash for DC, and the film will notably bring Keaton‘s Batman/Bruce Wayne back to the screen for the first time since 1992. Keaton of course played Batman in two films: Tim Burton’s Batman and the sequel Batman ReturnsBen Affleck‘s Bruce Wayne/Batman will also be making an appearance in The Flash.

Ezra Miller is once again playing the title character in the upcoming WB/DC movie, which will see The Flash travel back in time and “inadvertently create another universe.” The film will explore the idea of a “multiverse” existing with the DC Cinematic Universe, allowing for Michael Keaton’s Bruce Wayne to serve as something of a mentor to the young Barry Allen.

The Flash is set for theatrical release on June 16, 2023.
