‘Totally Killer’ Trailer – Halloween Slasher Comedy Rewinds Back to the 1980s
Halloween slasher-comedy Totally Killer is on the way from Blumhouse and Amazon Studios, promising an outrageously killer time based on the new trailer that debuted today.
Totally Killer hits Prime Video on October 6, 2023! The film is rated “R” for “Bloody violence, language, sexual material, and teen drug/alcohol use.”
The brand new trailer below leans into the Back to the Future meets The Final Girls concept, fully embracing the comedy.
“Thirty-five years after the shocking murder of three teens, the infamous ‘Sweet Sixteen Killer’ returns on Halloween night to claim a fourth victim. Seventeen-year-old Jamie (Kiernan Shipka) ignores her overprotective mom’s (Julie Bowen) warning and comes face-to-face with the masked maniac and, on the run for her life, accidentally time travels back to 1987, the year of the original killings. Forced to navigate the unfamiliar and outrageous culture of the 1980s, Jamie teams up with her teen mom (Olivia Holt) to take down the killer once and for all, before she’s stuck in the past forever.”
Nahnatchka Khan (Always Be My Maybe, Young Rock, Don Wong) is directing, and Jen D’Angelo penned the screenplay based on an original script by David Matalon and Sasha Perl-Raver.
The cast of newcomers and established actors portraying characters in the film include Lochlyn Munro (“Adult Blake”), Charlie Gillespie (“Teen Blake”), Stephi Chin-Salvo (“Marisa Song”), Anna Diaz (“Heather Hernandez”), Jeremy Monn-Djasgnar (“Teen Randy Finkle”), Troy Leigh-Anne Johnson (“Teen Lauren”), Ella Choi (“Teen Kara Molnar”), Kelcey Mawema (“Amelia”), Liana Liberato (“Tiffany Clark”), Nathaniel Appiah (“Teen Doug Summers”), and Jonathan Potts (“Adult Chris Dubusage”).
Producers are Jason Blum for Blumhouse and Adam Hendricks and Greg Gilreath for Divide/Conquer. Executive producers are Nahnatchka Khan and Chloe Yellin for Fierce Baby Productions, Chris McCumber and Jeremy Gold for Blumhouse Television, and Brian Parker.

‘Boorman and the Devil’ Documentary Trailer Chronicles Complicated Relationship with ‘Exorcist II’
Critically acclaimed documentary Boorman and the Devil chronicles how one of the world’s greatest filmmakers made one of the most hated movies ever: Exorcist II: The Heretic. A new trailer highlighting some of the troubled production woes has arrived.
Boorman and the Devil opens at The Quad in NYC on August 28 before opening wider in various cities on September 4, including: Los Angeles, Columbus, Houston, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Seattle and more.
After the success of Point Blank and Deliverance, Warner Brothers offered John Boorman the opportunity of a lifetime: the chance to direct a sequel to their smash hit, The Exorcist. The result was one of the biggest disasters in movie history. A critical and financial failure that not only changed how Hollywood did business, but nearly ended Boorman’s filmmaking career… but to be an artist is to be a risk-taker.
Now, John Boorman, Linda Blair, Louise Fletcher, Karyn Kusama, Joe Dante, Mike Flanagan, and more reflect back on the ambition of the film, the artistry and craft, and the value of big creative swings.

Boorman and the Devil is produced by Kittredge’s Triple Fire Productions, Travis Stevens (Jodorowsky’s Dune, Starry Eyes) of Snowfort Pictures, and Jim Fall (The Lizzie McGuire Movie), with Alan Koenigsberg of Milton Ventures Media serving as co-producer.
Daniel Kurland wrote in his review, “Boorman and the Devil goes above and beyond to be the definitive text on Exorcist II. This documentary will delight horror and Exorcist fans alike, but it also provides incredible insight for anyone who is just marginally interested in film production.”
