‘Talk to Me’ Exclusive Clip – Go Behind the Scenes of A24’s Box Office Hit

Published

on

A24’s Talk to Me scared up over $72 million at the box office, and the critically acclaimed horror hit is now available on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD from A24 and Lionsgate.

To whet your appetite for the physical media release, Bloody Disgusting has been provided with an exclusive clip from the bonus features package. You can check it out below.

The clip takes you behind the scenes of Talk to Me with directors Danny Philippou and Michael Philippou, who discuss their transition from YouTube to feature filmmaking.

“The whole process was so incredible,” they explain. “We’re used to forcing family and friends to give us performances and try to squeeze something out of them. Having people that are dedicated to it – like Sophie Wilde – that’s just so amazing on screen. Having people like that that you can collaborate with and work on the characters with. Brings a whole other life to it.”

“They bring such a depth to it that you just don’t achieve with a script.”

SPECIAL FEATURES:

  • Audio Commentary with Cowriter-Director Danny Philippou and Director Michael Philippou
  • “In the Grip of Terror” Featurette
  • Deleted Scenes
  • Theatrical Trailer
  • Talk to Me Q&A with Filmmakers Danny Philippou and Michael Philippou (Amazon Exclusive)

The brutal terror of Talk to Me unfolds when “a group of friends discover how to conjure spirits using an embalmed hand; they become hooked on the new thrill until one of them goes too far and unleashes terrifying supernatural forces.” Sophie Wilde, Miranda Otto, Alexandra Jensen, Joe Bird, Otis Djanji, and Zoe Terakes star in the A24 horror hit.

In her Sundance review for BD, Meagan Navarro wrote, “Talk to Me delivers an intense, nightmarish horror movie that’ll leave you breathless.” Her review continued, “There’s a refreshing ruthlessness to this cautionary tale that plays like a surge of adrenaline; it makes for one hell of an introduction to Danny and Michael Philippou’s brand of horror.”

And yes, a sequel – Talk 2 Me – has already been ordered by A24.

Writer in the horror community since 2008. Editor in Chief of Bloody Disgusting. Owns Eli Roth's prop corpse from Piranha 3D. Has four awesome cats. Still plays with toys.
