Terrifier 3 Sienna

Headed down the chimney next Halloween season is Damien Leone’s hotly-anticipated Terrifier 3, and we’re thrilled to report that Lauren LaVera has officially signed on!

Cineverse, in partnership with Bloody Disgusting, announced today that Lauren LaVera will officially return in the unrated mega-slasher Terrifier 3, reprising her role as Sienna.

Her compelling performance resonated far and wide as the breakout star of the ultra-gory Terrifier 2, solidifying her status as a rising star in the horror realm. LaVera won over fans and critics worldwide who embraced her as the next Final Girl and Sienna costumes were seen all over conventions and Halloween events this year.

Now, as the story unfolds in Creator Damien Leone’s Terrifier 3, LaVera is back to lead you through your deepest nightmares when Art the Clown unleashes chaos on the unsuspecting residents of Miles County as they peacefully drift off to sleep on Christmas Eve.

“I’m thrilled to be returning to Terrifier 3,” said LaVera. “Damien’s vision for my character was special, and now he’s set to take it to an entirely new level. It’s been surreal to witness the immense connection and support from fans for Sienna, and I applaud Damien for introducing a strong female character, the angel-dressed heroine, who gets to face off against Art the Clown’s merciless ways. I can’t wait for you to see the next chapter of Sienna as Damien dives deeper into her backstory.”

“Lauren was the heart and soul of Terrifier 2, and the next installment couldn’t be done without her character,” said Leone. “Lauren brings an unparalleled essence to the film, and her return is integral to the continuation of the chilling narrative we’ve crafted. Her character will be more developed as she is dealing with intense trauma stemming from the events of the previous film, and eventually, she must conquer these challenges to confront Art. Her continued metamorphosis into Art’s formidable foe is one of the most intriguing and exciting aspects of this franchise for me.”

The news was first reported by Deadline, with the site also reporting that David Howard Thornton will be back as Art the Clown, with AEW superstar Chris Jericho, Samantha Scaffidi, and Elliot Fullam also reprising their roles from last year’s Terrifier 2.

Leone tells Deadline, “We are in pre-production right now. We’re going to start shooting in two months, beginning of February. So, we’re in the thick of it. We’re assembling our crew; we’re still casting; we’re getting locations in order; special effects are being created; and we’re still working on drafts. It could always be better and tighter: I never stop doing that all the way through production. I’m finally getting to the stage where I’m very excited about it. We’re about to make a movie again, which is my childhood fantasy come true.”

He also previews in the new chat with Deadline, “This one is going to pick up where part two left off, in the insane asylum, so, you’re going to see what transpires there, what mayhem unfolds, because seeing how Art and Victoria ended up, is so insane, and seeing how they get out of that situation and what happens next is going to be really wild. So, we have to get Chris [Jericho] back in there and see how he becomes a part of that situation.”

Additional casting is currently underway for the unrated slasher, which is set to begin production early next year. Terrifier 3 will release in theaters nationwide on October 25, 2024, with Cineverse and Bloody Disgusting handling North American distribution, sold by The Coven, who also reps international rights on the film.

Terrifier 3 is produced by Phil Falcone, Steven Della Salla, Jason Leavy and Michael Leavy.

Chris McGurk, Brad Miska, Brandon Hill and Yolanda Macias serve as executive producers for Cineverse and Bloody Disgusting. Additional executive producers include Cairo Ben Amen II, Joshua Anderson, Steven Caruso, Lisa Falcone, Hank Greenberg, Marcus McGill, Larry Bilello, Steven Barton, and Thomas Smith.

You can stream Terrifier 2 on SCREAMBOX now.

The Birthday Murders: Viral Marketing Website Launches for ‘Longlegs’

Published

on

NEON has been absolutely slaying the marketing game for their horror output this year, and they’re kicking the Longlegs campaign into high gear with one more month until release.

A cryptic ad in The Seattle Times today (seen below) has led clever horror fans to discover TheBirthdayMurders.net, the brand new official viral marketing website for Longlegs.

The in-universe website details the victims of the serial killer known as Longlegs (Nicolas Cage), described as a “Satan-worshipping psycho” who has terrorized families throughout the Pacific Northwest for nearly three decades.

The website details, “A bloody trail of bodies here in the great state of Oregon attests to the depraved savagery of this one-of-a-kind serial killer. With over three dozen victims that we know of, LONGLEGS is one of the most prolific mass murderers ever to have graced the region, and his gruesome endeavors are the stuff of nightmares. At first, all of the killings appeared to be straightforward murder-suicides: the handiwork of average men who suddenly snapped and slaughtered their wives and children. But a series of eerie coded messages left at the crime scenes indicate that someone – or something – is influencing these horrific crimes. The cryptic letters are signed by someone calling himself LONGLEGS.”

“With thirty-eight kills to his name, LONGLEGS has torn apart the lives of eleven different families throughout the Beaver State. His victims were good people: honest fathers, decent mothers, innocent little children.”

The website is loaded with secrets, clues, and gruesome (faux) crime scene photos, and you might even find a mention of yours truly nestled in there. Poke around. Stay a while.

Longlegs arrives in theaters July 12.

The upcoming serial killer horror movie marks the return of director Osgood Perkins (The Blackcoat’s Daughter, Gretel & Hansel). Nicolas Cage stars alongside Maika Monroe, with Monroe playing an FBI agent and Cage playing a serial killer.

In the film, “FBI Agent Lee Harker (Monroe) is a gifted new recruit assigned to the unsolved case of an elusive serial killer (Cage). As the case takes complex turns, unearthing evidence of the occult, Harker discovers a personal connection to the merciless killer and must race against time to stop him before he claims the lives of another innocent family.

The film is rated “R” for “Bloody violence, disturbing images and some language.”
