‘Joker: Folie à Deux’ Official Trailer Arrives TONIGHT; Watch the First Footage Now!

The whole world is a stage in the upcoming Joker: Folie à Deux, director Todd Phillips’ hotly anticipated sequel to the billion dollar box office hit Joker (2019).

The sequel brings Joker back to theaters on October 4, 2024, and we’ve learned today that the trailer for Joker: Folie à Deux will debut at 9:30pm EST tonight, April 10, 2024.

While you wait, a 30-second clip from the trailer previews Joaquin Phoenix‘s return as Joker. And by the looks of this footage, well, he’s even worse off than we last saw him…

Phoenix will be joined by Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn in the upcoming sequel, which has been rated “R” for “strong violence, language, sexuality, and brief full nudity.” 

Still not much is known about the sequel to Phillips’ hit 2019 film, which amassed more than $1 billion at the global box office and earned 11 Academy Awards nominations, landing a Best Actor win for Phoenix and Best Original score for composer Hildur Guðnadóttir. It’s said to be a “jukebox musical,” meaning a musical filled with existing songs rather than original songs.

“Folie à Deux” is the term meaning “shared psychosis” or “shared delusional disorder,” which is surely a reference to the twisted relationship between Joker and Harley Quinn.

Zazie Beetz will reprise the role of Sophie Dumond from Joker, while Brendan Gleeson (“Mr. Mercedes”) and Catherine Keener (Get Out, “Brand New Cherry Flavor”) also star.

Todd Phillips and Scott Silver wrote the sequel to the hit 2019 movie.

‘Trap’ – New Poster and Original Song Released for M. Night Shyamalan’s New Thriller

Take your seats. The show is about to begin. Warner Bros. brings us some new marketing for M. Night Shyamalan’s Trap this morning, including a new poster and an original song.

Saleka Shyamalan stars in the upcoming thriller as fictional pop star Lady Raven, and today brings us a first-listen preview of the song “Release” by Saleka as Lady Raven.

M. Night Shyamalan’s new thriller for Warner Bros. – the sixteenth movie in his Oscar-nominated career thus far – is headed to movie theaters nationwide on August 9, 2024.

In the upcoming thriller starring Josh Hartnett, “A father and teen daughter attend a pop concert, where they realize they’re at the center of a dark and sinister event.”

As the official trailer for Trap reveals, the pop concert is actually an elaborate trap designed to catch The Butcher, a sadistic serial killer who has been evading authorities.

Hartnett had recently described the mysterious film as “very bizarre” and “very dark.”

According to IMDb, the cast for Trap also includes Hayley Mills, Marnie McPhail, Vanessa Smythe, Saleka Shyamalan, Scott Ian MacDougall, Kristi Woods, and Cali Lorella.

Trap is the first film Shyamalan has made under his new deal with Warner Bros., which has been described as a “multi-year first-look directing and producing agreement.”
