CM Punk and Justin Long Starring in Horror Movie ‘Night Patrol’
Scream King Justin Long (Barbarian) and WWE superstar CM Punk (Girl on the Third Floor) have been set to star in an upcoming horror movie titled Night Patrol, THR reports.
Jermaine Fowler, Dermot Mulroney, RJ Cyler, Freddie Gibbs, YG, Flying Lotus, Jon Oswald, and Nicki Micheaux will also star in the upcoming Night Patrol.
In the horror-thriller, “An LAPD officer (Jermaine Fowler) must put aside his differences with the area’s street gangs when he discovers a local police task force is harboring a horrific secret that endangers the residents of the housing projects he grew up in.”
THR reports, “David S. Goyer and Keith Levine are producing via the duo’s Phantom Four banner. Also producing is Josh Goldbloom, known for the recent V/H/S horror entries. James Harris and Mark Lane of Tea Shop Films (47 Meters Down) are also producing the movie, which wrapped principal photography in Los Angeles this week.”
Ryan Prows (Lowlife, V/H/S/94) directed the film and he also wrote the script with Shaye Ogbonna (Fight Night), Tim Cairo (Off Ramp) and Jake Gibson (He Bled Neon).
“Audiences are not ready for how hard this movie goes. To shoot this script, with this cast, on location in LA, after such a long path to get here is nothing short of a dream,” Prows teases.
Justin Long in ‘Barbarian’
Abigail Cowen (“Stranger Things,” “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina,” The Ritual) will lead the cast of psychedelic horror movie The Guide, Deadline reports this week.
James Badge Dale (13 Hours) and Edouard Philipponnat (Napoleon) will also star. Inon Shampanier directs from a script co-written with Natalie Shampanier.
Deadline details, “Abigail Cowen will play a young woman who enters a psilocybin mushroom retreat in an effort to heal past traumas, surrendering herself to the care of a psychedelic therapy guide (James Badge Dale). As the guide’s motives come under suspicion, the past bleeds into the present and the session unravels into a psychedelic nightmare.”
“This psychedelic therapy thriller is designed to be a visceral inward journey, and I am thrilled to go on this journey with the incredibly talented James Badge Dale, Abigail Cowen and Edouard Philipponnat,” Inon Shampanier said in a statement to Deadline.
