Christopher Lambert (Highlander, Mortal Kombat) will star as a mercenary in an alien world in the sci-fi horror movie Zoners.
Screen Daily reports that the indie film centers on a desperate young woman forced to drive a mercenary and a stolen alien device through a land infested with monsters.
Stephan Zlotescu — a visual effects artist whose credits include music videos by Beyonce, Jack White, and Lil Wayne — directs from a script he co-wrote with Philip Gelatt (“Love, Death & Robots,” Europa Report) and Michel K. Parandi.
Kim Bonifay (“The Pit”) also stars alongside Bogdan Farcas (Watcher), Tiberiu Harsan (The Cleansing Hour), and Daniel Nuta (“Rise of Empires: Ottoman”).
Zlotescu produces via his PunkCity Productions alongside Adam Zachary Smith (One Night in Bangkok).
Pinnacle Peak Pictures is representing the project at the European Film Market in Berlin, with screenings set for this Friday and Saturday.
