The lambs have not stopped screaming, as The Silence of the Lambs is returning to theaters in celebration of its 35th anniversary.
The 1991 horror thriller will screen on April 26 and April 29 as part of Fathom Entertainment’s “Big Screen Classics” programming.
On the hunt for an elusive serial killer who skins his female victims, the FBI assign trainee Clarice Starling to interview Hannibal Lecter – an imprisoned, cannibalistic psychopath who might be able to help uncover the killer’s identity. Lecter’s dazzling criminal genius unearths clues, but at the price of deadly mind games with the vulnerable Clarice.
Jonathan Demme directs from a script by Ted Tally, based on Thomas Harris‘ 1988 novel of the same name.
Jodie Foster and Anthony Hopkins star with Scott Glenn, Ted Levine, and Anthony Heald.
The Silence of the Lambs was the third film in history to win the “big five” Academy Awards: Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress, and Best Adapted Screenplay.

Renowned film historian and critic Leonard Maltin will offer exclusive introductions that illuminate each film’s lasting legacy.
