Although “Chucky” was cancelled in 2024 after three seasons, the cast and crew remain optimistic that it’s not the last we’ll see of the killer doll.
Jennifer Tilly, who plays both Chucky’s muse Tiffany Valentine and a fictionalized version of herself in the franchise, has confirmed that a new Chucky project is in the works.
“The television series just ended, but I know for a fact there is more Chucky and Tiffany in the works,” Tilly told ET. “The gruesome twosome.”
It remains to be seen what form the latest installment will take — another feature, perhaps? — but Chucky is a rare horror icon whose original continuity remains intact.
Don Mancini has been the driving creative force behind the franchise since it began in 1988, shepherding it from theatrical to direct-to-video to television, even with a Hollywood remake in between.
Following the show’s cancellation, Mancini posted, “The Chucky franchise has always prioritized story continuity, across different media, for decades. You WILL see your favorites again.”
Tilly can currently be seen in Season 3 of Paramount+’s “School Spirits.”
