Genre favorite David F. Sandberg (Lights Out, Annabelle: Creation, Until Dawn) is attached to direct the horror film A Little Slice of Hell for Paramount Pictures, Deadline reports.
The feature is based on a short story of the same name by John Goodrich, originally published in the first issue of Assemble Media’s short story magazine Assemble Artifacts in 2021.
While plot details for the movie are under wraps, the story follows two underpaid supermarket employees who realize that they should have read the employee manual after encountering a customer from Hell — literally.
Greg Weidman & Geoff Tock (In the Shadow of the Moon) are writing the script based off a previous draft by Emily V. Gordon (The Big Sick).
Johnny Pariseau, Patrick Gooing, and Molly Milstein will produce for Maximum Effort, alongside Jack Heller, Caitlin de Lisser-Ellen for Assemble, and Lotta Losten.
Sandberg is also attached to direct Netflix’s Below, also penned by Weidman & Tock, along with a new Amityville Horror movie.
