Director Chloe Okuno (V/H/S/94: Storm Drain, Watcher) is headed back into the horror genre with Bad Hand, a new horror movie that sounds quite a bit like ’90s favorite Idle Hands.

Idle Hands, it’s interesting to note, is getting a remake from Finn Wolfhard!

But back to Bad Hand, which is NOT an Idle Hands remake…

Deadline reports that Chloe Okuno will direct Bad Hand for Searchlight Pictures, with the script being written by April Wolfe (the writer of the most recent Black Christmas remake).

“The film follows a mild mannered kindergarten teacher who the week before her wedding, is the victim of a hit and run. In the wake of the accident, she discovers to her horror that the trauma has caused her right hand to act with a mind of its own, bent on bloody revenge.”

Elizabeth Banks, Max Handelman, Alison Small will produce for Brownstone Productions.

Up next from Chloe Okuno is another horror movie titled Brides, which originally had Maika Monroe attached to star. Olivia Cooke ended up taking her place in the NEON horror movie.

Brides follows Sally Bishop (Olivia Cooke) and her husband, who travel to a remote Italian villa whose owner, a mysterious count, takes a peculiar interest in Sally.

Chloe Okuno’s Brides is said to be at least loosely inspired by Bram Stoker’s horror classic Dracula, set to “flip Bram Stoker’s narrative on its head, exploring the struggle between societal repression and carnal desire.” It’s also described as “gothic, glamorous, and gory.”

Stay tuned for more on Brides, Bad Hand, and all things Chloe Okuno.
