Nicolas Winding Refn (Drive, The Neon Demon) has taken to Instagram to tease his upcoming film, Her Private Hell.
Plot details remain under wraps, but Refn previously said that the mysterious thriller “will have a lot of glitter and lot of sex and violence.”
Sophie Thatcher (“Yellowjackets”), Charles Melton (“Riverdale”), Kristine Froseth (How to Blow Up a Pipeline), and Havana Rose Liu (No Exit) star.
Dougray Scott (Hitman), Diego Calva (Babylon), Aoi Yamada (Perfect Days), Shioli Kutsuna (Deadpool & Wolverine), and Hidetoshi Nishijima (Shin Ultraman) round out the cast.
Refn directs from a script he co-wrote with Esti Giordani (“Vida”). Pino Donaggio (Carrie, Don’t Look Now) is composing the score.
Refn produces under his byNWR Originals banner. Executive producers include Takuma Takasaki, Kimberly Willming, Christina Erritzøe, and Lene Børglum.
Filmed last year in Tokyo, Her Private Hell is due out later this year via Neon. Stay tuned for more.
Refn is next attached to the Maniac Cop remake, which is aiming to shoot in the fall.
