Ontario’s waters run red when a bull shark invades a local lake in the Sorority Shark Attack trailer.
In one of his final performances before his passing last month, Robert Carradine (Revenge of the Nerds, “Lizzie McGuire”) plays Professor Marvin, a contrite academic who uncovers clandestine animal modifications.
The indie horror-comedy follows sorority sisters Chloe, Alex, and Tiffany to a lakeside cabin where unsettling ripples, a gruesome death, and a lock-side fin reveal a bull shark prowling an Ontario waterway.
As a principled police constable battles a grandstanding mayor to close the lake, Chloe discovers a notebook tying the predator to covert experiments. When friends are stranded on a nearby island and public attacks escalate, the group aligns with a weary medical examiner and Chloe’s professor father to devise a high-risk countermeasure.
A sardonic young jet skier and small-town allies join the effort, culminating in a desperate chase that tests leadership, loyalty, and nerve, while hinting the threat may not be contained.
David Langlois directs from a script by William Dever (Sharkansas Women’s Prison Massacre). Samuel Dever produces.
Kate Mayhew, Marc Rico Ludwig, Sarah Ircana, Elle Rose, Paul Matte, Martin Egas, Lee Poichuk, and Drew Antzis round out the cast.
Sorority Shark Attack is currently in post-production, with an anticipated release later this year via Andromedia Distribution.
