Author Paul Tremblay recently visited the set of A Head Full of Ghosts, an adaptation of his 2015 novel, and he shared some details about his Irish excursion in his newsletter.
“We got to be on set of the film for four of the days. A total dream come true, frankly,” Tremblay wrote. “There will be fun surprises and things to talk about later on down the line, but for now I can say it looks great.”
He continued, “It’s going to be a cool, creepy, beautiful-to-look-at movie.”
Tremblay also noted, “They’re shooting on film for the bulk of the movie.”
The psychological horror film is written and directed by Veronika Franz & Severin Fiala (Goodnight Mommy, The Lodge).
David Harbour (“Stranger Things”), Rebecca Hall (Godzilla vs. Kong), and Esmé Creed-Miles (“The Sandman”) star.
In the film, the Barretts’ suburban life is torn apart when their teenage daughter’s descent into madness becomes the subject of a reality show. 15 years later, her sister Merry faces her family’s haunting past with a journalist, uncovering the very nature of the evil that destroyed them.
Robert Downey Jr. and Susan Downey of Team Downey, Daniel Dubiecki and Lara Alameddine of The Allegiance Theater, David Gambino, and Fifth Season produce. Lionsgate hold the worldwide rights.
Tremblay’s latest novel, Dead but Dreaming of Electric Sheep, will be published on June 30 via William Morrow.
