Michael Matthews (Love and Monsters) is attached to direct Home Safety Hotline, an adaptation of the horror puzzle video game of the same name, THR has learned.
Nick Tassoni penned the script for the film, which follows an unemployed loner who must take a job as a phone operator at a mysterious home security company, only to realize they specialize in protecting customers from horrific monsters that come out at night.
Steven Schneider (Insidious) & Roy Lee (Weapons) of Spooky Pictures will produce alongside Longevity Pictures president Majd Nassif (Mercy) and Kameek Lucas Taitt. Executive producers include Image Nation CEO Ben Ross (Late Night with the Devil) and Spooky Pictures’ Jakob Pollack (Weapons).
Created by Nick Lives, Home Safety Hotline was released in 2024 by Night Signal Entertainment. Set in 1996, the game centers on an employee who discovers the pest control hotline where they work is a covert service for diagnosing cryptic terrors and supernatural phenomena.

Matthews recently wrapped production on Empire State, an action thriller starring Gerard Butler and Hayley Atwell.
