While she’s out of the ring with an injury, WWE superstar Chelsea Green is staying active with a part in an upcoming horror movie.
“I just got a role in a horror film,” Green revealed to Candace Cordelia. “I film in a couple of weeks. It’s gory as hell, and I can’t wait.”
She noted, “I feel the same way about acting as I do about wrestling. Like, I just wanna get out there and do it and build a resume.”
Details on the film, including its title, have not been announced — but we will certainly keep you posted.
The inaugural WWE Women’s United States Champion and a former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion, Green has been out of action since suffering a broken ankle back in February.
Green made her first foray into the genre with a cameo in the 2020 sci-fi horror film Parallel Minds. More recently, she appeared in the romance movie A Bluegrass Christmas and an episode of “Blue Ridge.”
Green is the latest in a long line of professional wrestlers to try their hand at acting, ranging from Hulk Hogan and Roddy Piper to The Rock and “Stone Cold” Steve Austin to John Cena and CM Punk.
