First Look at Louis Leterrier’s Sci-Fi Horror ‘The Last House,’ Hitting Netflix in August

Previously known as 11817, director Louis Leterrier‘s (Now You See Me, The Incredible Hulk) new film is now titled The Last House.

Netflix has set an August 7 release date for the sci-fi horror thriller, in addition to revealing the first images.

It follows a family of four who are suddenly sealed inside their home with no way out and must work together to survive against both their dwindling resources and the mysterious, looming threat keeping them trapped.

Greta Lee (“Russian Doll”), Wagner Moura (“Narcos”), Riley Chung (Sunrise), Emma Ho (“The Expanse”), Noah Alexander Sosnowski (Section 8), and Gabriel Barbosa (May December) star.

Matthew Robinson (Love and Monsters, Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die) penned the script.

Leterrier produces alongside Chernin Entertainment’s Peter Chernin, Jenno Topping, & Kori Adelson and 3 Arts Entertainment’s Oly Obst. Executive producers include Thomas Benski, Cecile Gaget, Lars Sylvest, Thorsten Schumacher, and Damian Anderson.

The Last House is rated PG-13 for “some violent content/terror, drug use, sexual references, and brief language.”

Leterrier will next helm Apple’s sci-fi action thriller Liminal starring Vanessa Kirby and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II.
