Young up-and-comers Lilou Lang (“Free Bert”) and Lorelei Olivia Mote (The Best Christmas Pageant Ever) have landed roles in the horror film They Know, per Deadline.
Bill Hader (“Barry,” IT: Chapter Two) makes his feature directorial debut on the project, in which he also stars alongside Linda Cardellini (“Crystal Lake“).
It centers on a divorced dad (Hader) who grows suspicious that his ex-wife (Cardellini) is secretly dating a mysterious man who is having a strange influence on their children (Lang and Mote).
MRC is the studio financing the feature, which Hader wrote based on a story he conceived with his “Barry” collaborator Duffy Boudreau.
Hader is producing under his Hanarply banner alongside Robert Graf (No Country for Old Men, Nope). Alyssa Donovan, Hader’s assistant on “Barry,” is serving as co-producer.
They Know recently kicked off production in Los Angeles, so expect more details soon.
