Dave Franco (Together) has been cast in the alien invasion thriller Soon You Will Be Gone and Possibly Eaten, Deadline reports.
He’ll star opposite Sophie Wilde (Talk to Me) in the film, based on the short story by Nick Antosca (“Cape Fear,” “Channel Zero”).
Egor Abramenko (Sputnik) is directing from a script by Luke Piotrowski & Ben Collins (Hellraiser 2022, The Night House).
It follows Rob and Sabile, a young engaged couple, who head to a secluded mountain resort to take their vows and step into the new chapter of their shared lives. What was planned as a joyous wedding attended by family members takes a different turn when unexpected guests crash the ceremony.
Producers include Antosca & Alex Hedlund for Eat the Cat (“Cape Fear”), Sébastien Raybaud for Anton (The Night House), Greg Gilreath & Adam Hendricks for Divide/Conquer (M3GAN), Nick Shumaker for Anonymous Content (“True Detective”), and Dawn Olmstead (Apex). Anonymous Content’s David Levine & Garrett Kemble and Anton’s Kathy Stocker will executive produce.
Armenian visual effects house Monkey Rave (“Halo,” “Locke & Key”) is handling the alien design for the film.
