Step inside Bloody Burger for a first look at the French body horror movie below.
In the film, “a young medical student working at an ER witnesses a new virus spreading among young patients, a mysterious mutation among the new generation that starts affecting her.”
Karin Viard, Mara Taquin, Kim Higelin, Sami Outalbali, Stefan Crepon and Sonia Faidi star in the body horror movie Species. You’ll also find an official poster below.
Marion Le Corroller wrote the script alongside Thomas Pujol. Academy Award winner Pierre-Olivier Persin (The Substance) will be handling the film’s makeup effects.
“I wanted to tell a story about bodies forced to change, to evolve and adapt to a very toxic and demanding workplace,” writer/director Marion Le Corroller explains to Deadline.
Le Corroller notes in her chat with Deadline that she’s inspired by fellow French filmmakers Coralie Fargeat (The Substance) and Julie Ducournau (Raw), as well as Ari Aster.
