20th Century Studios has acquired the rights to Persona, a novella by “Arrow” co-creator Marc Guggenheim, Deadline has learned.
Paul Feig, hot off the runaway success of The Housemaid, is set to direct.
The concept is being kept under wraps, but Deadline reports it’s “a Fatal Attraction-style thriller with a very modern twist.”
The as-yet-unpublished novella sparked a heated auction among studios, resulting in a seven-figure deal from 20th Century.
Feig is currently in pre-production on The Housemaid sequel The Housemaid’s Secret for a December 17, 2027 release.
Guggenheim recently co-wrote An Innocent Girl, a Netflix thriller now in production with Jaume Collet-Serra at the helm.
