Keith David And Richard Kind Face A Demonic Debt In ‘Portal to Hell’ Releasing Next Week

Portal to Hell release date

Cineverse, Bloody Disgusting’s parent company, is opening up a Portal to Hell from within a laundromat next week.

Portal to Hell will debut on Digital and Video on Demand on September 8, 2026.

Trey Holland (The Diabolical), Keith David (The Thing, They Live), and Richard Kind (“Spin City,” Beau Is Afraid) star in the indie horror comedy.

It follows “Dunn (Holland), a debt collector who lives a life of routine until a portal to hell opens in his local laundromat, followed by a demon (Kind) sent to drag his neighbor, Mr. Bobshank (David), to hell for an unpaid debt. Helping people settle their debts is Dunn’s specialty, but when the demon offers a sinister deal—three souls in exchange for Bobshank’s freedom—he refuses. However, when one of his debtors follows him to the laundromat, the line between right and wrong begins to blur, forcing Dunn to make a choice that could cost him his own soul.”

Romina D’Ugo (“12 Monkeys”), Michael McDonald (Halloween Kills), Casey Deidrick (“Teen Wolf”), Trevor Newlin (Alien: Romulus), Ryan Follesé, Kevin Fonteyne (Nightmare Cinema), and Monet Weir round out the cast.

Woody Bess writes and directs.

Portal to Hell premiered earlier last year at Slamdance and recently won the “Dangerous Visions Award” at the Chattanooga Film Festival. It also screened at Frightfest, Calgary Underground, and Vancouver Horror Show.

The film is produced by Trey Holland, Lucas Ford, Tom Watts, and Woody Bess and executive produced by Dionne Lea, Keith David, George Loucas, Matthew Dean Russell, John Frederick, and Christina Jobe.
