Josh Ruben’s Valentine’s Day-themed slasher movie Heart Eyes is getting a sequel, and we recently learned that Heart Eyes 2 will be slashing into theaters in early 2028.
While it was originally set for theatrical release on February 11, 2028, however, Paramount has announced this week that Heart Eyes 2 will now release in theaters February 4, 2028.
Josh Ruben will co-write the script for Heart Eyes 2 with Darcy Fowler from a story by Christopher Landon and Michael Kennedy. Landon will produce the sequel.
Mason Gooding (Scream) and Olivia Holt (“Cruel Summer”) starred in the 2025 movie. No word yet on whether or not one or both actors will be returning for the sequel.
In Heart Eyes: “For several years, the Heart Eyes Killer has wreaked havoc on Valentine’s Day by stalking and murdering romantic couples. This Valentine’s Day, no couple is safe.”
