Masters of horror Stephen King and Mick Garris are featured in the official trailer for Shudder Original The Cycle, the latest from director Jordan Downey (The Head Hunter, V/H/S/Beyond).
While Stephen King raves that The Cycle is a mix of The Thing and The Silence of the Lambs, as well as “a terrific fright flick,” Mick Garris calls it “an over-the-top celebration of practical effects.”

Deborah Ann Woll stars as woman shocked to discover that a recent body discovered at a crime scene turns out to be her estranged father. It unleashes a supernatural nightmare.
The logline reads, “When the body of a man missing for thirty-six years is discovered at the scene of a horrific crime, it’s up to his estranged daughter to unravel his dark past.“
Jeffrey Donovan (“Burn Notice“, Villains) also stars in The Cycle.
Jordan Downey wrote the screenplay with Kevin Stewart (The Head Hunter).
Meagan Navarro wrote in her review for Bloody Disgusting, “Downey adds new wrinkles and lore to my personal favorite variety of movie monsters, surprising with an inventive twist to a familiar staple. It may take a while for The Cycle to fully show its hand, but it’s more than worth the wait.”
