When it comes to the resurgence of horror-themed synth, I can’t think of anyone who has a more aggressive attitude or sound than GosT. If you need your music to hit hard, I’m thinking you’re going to appreciate his offerings.
To give you a taste of what’s to come in his upcoming album Non Paradisi (out September 30th via Blood Music), an official music video for the track “Maleficarum” has been released and can be seen below.
Directed by Daniel Schwartz, the video is a love letter to the Satanic-infused horror films of the 70’s, complete with strong use of color, wicked rituals, and a fair amount of blood. There’s a fascinating marriage of Schwartz’s more subdued and almost patient visuals set against the frenetic, almost feverish pace of GosT’s music.
