It doesn’t take much to make me want to go on a “Twin Peaks” binge. Seeing a meme of Special Agent Dale Cooper, hearing someone ask for a cup of coffee, going for a walk through the woods near my place, etc… Any or all of those things can make my heart ache for a return to that sleepy Pacific Northwestern town and all the mysteries it held.
Earlier today, I posted a delightfully entertaining mashup of the “Stranger Things” theme with “Laura Palmer’s Theme” and that was enough for that ache to settle in again.
Since I’m going through this feeling, I decided to roll with it and use it as inspiration for this edition of Twisted Music Video of the Week. That’s why I’ve got the video for “Laura Palmer’s Prom” from Vancouver rock band You Say Party. Heavily inspired by scenes and images from the 90’s TV show, the video is a love letter to Lynch, “Twin Peaks”, and all the characters within.
Now, if you’ll all excuse me, I’m off to find a piece of cherry pie.
