Thrash metal band Metallica have announced via their official website that they have put the final touches on their upcoming album Hardwired…To Self Destruct, which will be released on November 18th via their own label Blackened Recordings. Additionally, they’ve updated the track list and moved some things around.
Furthermore, they’ve announced that the third disc, included in the deluxe edition, is getting a total revamp, now including covers from Iron Maiden, Deep Purple, and their “Ronnie Rising Medley”, which is a tribute to late Dio and Rainbow vocalist Ronnie James Dio. Also on the third disc is a rerecorded version of their 2014 track “Lords of Summer” as well as their set from Rasputin in Berkley and a live version of “Hardwired” from Minneapolis.
