On October 28th, Lakeshore Records will be releasing a rescore of the classic 1968 zombie film Night of the Living Dead. The rescore features an entirely new soundtrack composed by OGRE & Dallas Campbell and we’ve got our hands on the track “Graveside” for you to listen to below! If you’re into the recent trend of synth with horror influences then this is going to be right up your alley!
“A disparate group of individuals takes refuge in an abandoned house when corpses begin to leave the graveyard in search of fresh human bodies to devour. The pragmatic Ben does his best to control the situation but when the reanimated bodies surround the house the other survivors begin to panic. As any semblance of order within the group begins to dissipate, the zombies start to find ways inside — and one by one, the living humans become the prey of the deceased ones.”
Night of the Living Dead: Rescore will be available exclusively through Bandcamp on October 14th with more digital options coming on the 21st. A week later, the full score will stream on the Lakeshore Records YouTube channel.
About OGRE & Dallas Campbell:
Robin is a UK based composer and Dallas is a West Virginia based producer on the border with zombie capital Pittsburgh. Despite living 3594 miles apart, and having never met in person, they collaborate online by the wondrous power of Facebook chat. Night Of The Living Dead is the third installment of their transatlantic collaborations to see the light of day. Dallas and Robin are long time admirers of each other’s music and firm friends, sharing a passion for all things analog, tape machine, and a mutual nostalgia for the halcyon years of Carpenter and Goblin-esque soundtracks and cheap horror movies.
